Basildon Sporting Village


Opening in April 2011 the Sporting Village will be the best public sports facility in Essex. Encouraging everyone to get active, it will offer residents from Basildon and across the county a real centre of sporting activity.
Facilities include:
- 50 metre swimming pool able to split into two 25m pools with seating for over 400
- Teaching pool
- Regional gymnastics centre and new home for the South Essex Gymnastics Club
- Fitness suite
- Multi-purpose studio
- Crèche and café
- Climbing wall
- Six floodlit five a side football pitches
- New athletics grandstand for 750 spectators
- 8 court sports hall
