Father and son injured at JJ’s

THUGS stamped on a man’s leg until it broke and punched his son unconscious in a horrific nightclub attack.
The 41-year-old was attacked when he criticised a reveller for smashing a pint glass on the dancefloor at JJ’s at Basildon’s Festival Leisure Park.
His son, who tried to step in and save his dad, was punched in the face and knocked out.
The attack happened at 12.45am on Sunday June 17, 2012

Colors in court over noise complaints

Owners of the Colors nightclub, on Southernhay, Basildon appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court after being served with a noise abatement notice following a stream of complaints from residents living in the new nearby Icon flats development.
They complained they are being kept awake at all hours by revellers at the club using the venue’s outside seating area, which is above the Beehive pub.
They have proposed erecting a screening wall, which would act as a noise shield around the balcony, to give residents a quieter life.
Man suffers broken wrist after brawl

A MAN suffered a broken wrist and facial injuries following a fight at a nightclub.
The man, who is in his 40s, was at the Chicago Rock Cafe at Basildon’s Festival Leisure Park when the trouble broke out at 1.30am on June 2, 2012.

Man hurled into Gloucester Park lake

A MAN was thrown into the lake at Gloucester Park in an unprovoked, random attack.
The victim, a 23-year-old man from Basildon, was standing by the lake in the park in Basildon enjoying the sunshine when the attack happened.
Suddenly, without warning, the victim, a student, was approached by a man who pushed him into the water.
