Serious head injuries after attack in Basildon

A MAN from Southend suffered serious head injuries after being attacked in the early hours of the morning.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of assault following the attack on a 36-year-old man in Ashdon Way, Basildon.
An Essex Police spokesman said officers were called at about 2am on Friday morning, August 24 and the victim was taken to Basildon Hospital where he is in a “stable condition”.

Update 19 Mar 2013:
A 63-year-old man and a 40-year-old man, both from Romford, have been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) with intent in connection with the assault of a 36-year-old man on Ashdon Way in the early hours of Friday, August 24, 2012.

Woman, 88, robbed in broad daylight in Vange
Aug 30th

The attack happened as the elderly woman walked through the Homebase car park off London Road, Vange, where a man grabbed her around the throat, which knocked her to the ground.
He then stole her necklace and handbag before running off. The woman suffered a minor head injury and was treated at her nearby home by paramedics.
The attacker is described as white, fairly short in height and was wearing a royal blue top, with possible yellow flashes on it.
Police have only just released details of the attack which happened at about 5.30pm on Tuesday, August 28.

Man stabbed near Basildon petrol station
Aug 13th

The 36 year-old man was taken into the Accident and Emergency Department at Basildon Hospital by friends, suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Staff contacted Essex Police shortly after 1.30am on Sunday (12 Aug 12).
Following discussions with the man they closed a section of the BP garage on nearby Roundacre, where the incident is believed to have taken place.
The victim remains in hospital, where he is in a stable condition.
Three people were later arrested at a flat in the town.
Two men injured in Bas Vegas attack
Aug 7th

ONE man was bottled and another was punched and kicked in a violent brawl at Festival Leisure Park.
The two men had been enjoying a night out at the entertainment complex on Saturday (04 August 2012) when a fight broke out.
A 24-year-old man from Rayleigh was hit with a bottle while another man was punched and kicked leaving him with a broken jaw.
